RTP committees and staff are currently conducting a review of extant technical publications with a view to either revising and reissuing such material if necessary or withdrawing it.
What is a Chartered Accountants Ireland technical release?
A technical release addresses technical issues of ongoing relevance and importance to members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. A technical release is a source of good practice guidance on technical and practice issues relevant to the work of chartered accountants.
Technical releases will be referenced numerically and by year (eg ‘TR 01/2015’) and will address technical issues of ongoing relevance/importance to members (eg in the areas of assurance, financial reporting, relevant company law issues). Such documents will be maintained here and on the Institute Technical Content section of the Technical Hub, and subject to their continuing relevance and application, will be updated/revised as appropriate.
What is a Chartered Accountants Ireland technical alert?
Technical alerts similarly will be referenced numerically and by year (‘TA 01/2015’) but will address issues of a less permanent nature – notifications, reminders etc. These will also be maintained here on the technical pages of the Institute’s website but will have less ongoing relevance.
Statements of Insolvency Practice (‘SIPs’) will continue to be published as such by the Institute and CCAB-I.
