Access support/reasonable accommodation

The Access Support Services in Chartered Accountants Ireland aim to ensure that any student with a disability/significant ongoing illness or temporary impairment does not experience an educational disadvantage.

All students can access and equally participate in and benefit from educational opportunities.

Students who have specific needs should contact Access Support Executive to ensure we have facilities in place for your online lectures/webinars/examinations and assessments.

Students with specific learning difficulties (such as Dyslexia) are granted a spelling / grammar/punctuation waiver for their end-of-term and end-of-year exams. However, in cases where the student is being examined on their knowledge of a language itself (e.g. foreign language modules), this waiver will not apply.

For further information in relation to the supports available and the process for applying for reasonable accommodation please refer to the Reasonable Accommodations in Examinations Policy.
Reasonable Accommodations Policy

To apply, please download and complete the Reasonable Accommodation Application Form and include  original medical evidence (photocopies and scanned versions can not be accepted). All applications should be posted and addressed to Laura Condron, Access Support Executive, Chartered Accountants Ireland, 47-49 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 before the closing dates.
