The following text books are provided to students enrolled on the full programme of study for the respective subjects/Courses. Students repeating exams may purchase materials as required from the Chartered Accountants Ireland online bookstore.
Student book queries should be emailed to textbookqueries@charteredaccountants.ie
Book distribution will begin at the start of the new academic year 2025/26.
CAP1: from the 2025/26 academic year onwards, CAP1 textbooks will be in e-book format only, available on the Learning Hub.
CAP2 and FAE: for the 2025/26 academic year, we will contact you to advise of the book distribution process. All textbooks will be delivered to your registered home address. You can also access the e-books through your learning hub.
Book orders will be dispatched on a staggered basis, starting with CAP2 followed by FAE. Distribution will begin early September.
Once distribution begins, students will be contacted by our distributors Shanahan's by e-mail regarding their delivery and addresses. Please ensure that you check your email and spam/junk inbox frequently at this point.
It is important for students to engage with this process as the quicker students respond, the sooner books will be delivered. Students are reminded to check their spam folder.
All students will have their books sent directly to their registered home address. There will be an option to change delivery to a more suitable address in the email provided by Shanahan’s, if required.
It is the student's responsibility to ensure all relevant books are received before start of the course. Distribution will finish at the end of January. Books required afterwards will need to be purchased directly from our online book shop.
Please remember to include your student number in all correspondence.
Autumn results
Students progressing to CAP2/FAE after the publication of the Autumn results, please note that your book order will only be processed once your enrolment is complete.
