The Mortgage Masterclass – Understanding Mortgages and Homebuying

This online seminar, jointly hosted by ACA Professionals and the Leinster Society, provided attendees with a clear and practical overview of the mortgage and home‑buying process in Ireland, with a particular focus on the needs of first‑time buyers. The seminar was presented by Martina Hennessy FCA of doddl.ie, who provided expert insights into the Irish mortgage market, lending criteria and current rate options.

ACA Professionals - Pride Week

We once again marked Pride Month with a series of well‑attended Pride events, such as a BBQ night and a Pride brunch, celebrating inclusivity, community, and togetherness. These events brought people together in relaxed and welcoming settings to enjoy great food, drinks, entertainment, and shared celebration in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Held during Pride Month, the Pride events highlighted the ongoing importance of diversity, allyship, and creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued. They were positive and uplifting occasions that combined meaningful reflection with enjoyable social experiences.

ACA Professionals - Connections Event

The ACA Professionals – Connections Event was an empowering evening focused on career development, networking, and confidence building for early‑career professionals. Attendees heard from industry experts and recruiters during an insightful panel discussion on effective salary negotiation strategies, market trends, and positioning oneself for career success. This was followed by an interactive, high‑energy networking session designed specifically for professionals under 35.
ACA Professionals Table Quiz

In 2025, our Table Quiz returned due to popular demand, once again delivering an engaging evening of teamwork, friendly rivalry, and brain‑teasing fun. Participants worked in teams to take on a diverse mix of questions spanning general knowledge, current affairs, entertainment, and science. The quiz created a lively atmosphere that encouraged collaboration and sharp thinking, with plenty of laughs along the way.

ACA Professionals Pride Week

In celebration of Pride we hosted a vibrant Pride BBQ event at Nolita Bar on Great George’s Street to celebrate love, diversity, and inclusion. The free event brought colleagues and friends together for an evening of great food, drinks, live entertainment, and activities in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Held during Pride Month, the BBQ highlighted the importance of equality, the role of LGBT+ allies, and the positive impact of diversity both in and out of the workplace.
ACA Professionals - Table Quiz

We hosted a lively and much‑enjoyed Table Quiz that brought people together for an evening of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. Teams of four put their heads together to tackle a wide range of trivia questions covering pop culture, history, science, and current events. The event encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and problem‑solving, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone, from trivia enthusiasts to first‑time quizzers.
Young Professionals Wellness Event

This interactive seminar focused on how mindfulness and meditation can help combat everyday stress. Attendees had the opportunity to unwind in a calm, supportive setting while learning practical mindfulness techniques they could easily incorporate into daily life. The session featured a guided meditation, breathwork, and gentle seated exercises, alongside practical tips to help build a personal mental well‑being toolkit. Recognising the connection between a healthy mind and a healthy body.
Crossing Borders: Chartered Accountants Ireland Worldwide

A memorable event was held by the Young Professionals Committee, in partnership with the Institute Diversity and Inclusion Committee and CASSI. The event featured delicious BBQ food, entertaining drag bingo, foot-tapping music, and impressive lip-sync performances. It was a celebration of love and diversity where attendees enjoyed delightful cuisine, talented performers, and quality time with loved ones. The event was a huge success, leaving guests with unforgettable memories of a perfect mix of food, entertainment, and fun.

Exploring New Career Horizons

Belong To Rainbow Ball

Chartered Accountants Ireland were delighted to support the Belong To Rainbow Ball on Friday 27 January in teh Aviva Stadium, Dublin. Belong To provides support to young people across the country and continues to highlight the problems many young LGBTQ+ people face today. Members of the Young Professionals joined Karin Lanigan, Head of Member Experience, to represent Chartered Accountants Ireland.
