The role:
Chartered Accountants Ireland is embarking on a new Transformation Programme based on the outcomes from our newly updated Target Operating Model design work. The Transformation programme is expected to have four main workstreams, some of which include Target Operating Model work, our new digital experience platform (DxP), the future of Education delivery (Project Athena) & the creation of a Data Management office to support our new Data strategy. As we build our digital and technology capability, we are recruiting for a Programme Manager on a two-year fixed term contract to lead all the workstreams as mentioned above.
The Transformation Programme Manager will report to the Head of Programme management in the CIO function which consists of professionals leading Programme Management, IT, Systems Architecture, Change Management, PMO and Web.
We are looking for a Transformation Programme Manager with experience in leading large scale transformation programmes from initiation to closure. They will work with the Project Management team to ensure overall successful delivery on time & within budget; ensure PMO processes (Quality Assurance) are being followed through regular project reviews, RAAIDD Management, Budget Management, Project Planning, Status Reporting, and suitable governance is in place. This role will use the new Project Management tool (Asana) to ensure data is up to date.
They will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation including suppliers, project management, PMO, architecture, Web & IT development, and testing teams to ensure the solution delivers the agreed upon project requirements and meets expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the transformation programme team to help ensure the successful delivery of all workstreams on time & within agreed budget.
- Ensure that all key deliverables are created to the highest standards & quality.
- Act as a point of contact for relevant escalations & ensure all escalations are resolved within a timely manner.
- Work closely with the change lead to ensure that all change management activities are complete.
- Support new team members including taking part in onboarding schedules etc.
- Ensure benefits are tracked & realised.
- Manage the vendor (outsourced programme team) from programme initiation to close for your workstream/area.
- Thought leadership in Programme Management to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Stakeholder Managements at all levels within the Organisation.
- Line management where required.
- Ensure programme budgets are up to date and reported on at key milestones in the project.
The candidate
Qualifications and Skills:
- Project Management Qualification - Prince 2 – Foundation and Practitioner
- In-depth knowledge of programme and project management methods and principles
- Exceptional leadership and organisational skills
- In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles (KPI’s/Benefits realisation)
- Proficiency in various programme management software, including MS Office, MS Project and Asana
- Ability to manage a team and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Has the ability to work on own initiative and seek out solutions to problems
- Take ownership and demonstrate collaboration skills
- Vendor Management experience
- Flexible to new situations and challenges
- Working knowledge of Agile, Agile Qualification desired.
