The role:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic HR specialist on a fixed term contract to support development initiatives within the Institute. Working alongside HR colleagues, you will support a wide range of HR tasks, including the development of skills, impact assessments, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and change initiatives.
Your expertise will be essential in guiding teams, stakeholders, and employees through the change process, fostering a positive and adaptive culture while also enabling leaders to function as change accelerators on their teams. You will collaborate with various departments to implement change management strategies aimed at fostering a smooth transition and ensuring employee engagement and readiness.
This role will report to the Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:

Identify the most effective recruitment channels, including direct sourcing, employee referrals, job boards, and social media, to maximize candidate engagement and reduce external agency reliance.
Competency Frameworks:

Collaborate with the Institute’s Educational team and HR teams to design and recommend targeted training programs to bridge competency gaps, enhance team performance, and foster professional growth within the context of an agile organisation.
Learning & Development responsibilities:
Strategic change project support:

Collaborating with the change lead to execute comprehensive change management plans to support various initiatives, including process improvements, technology implementations, and organisational restructuring.
Policies:
Abide by Chartered Accountants Ireland policies, standards and initiatives locally including but not exclusively in relation to Performance management, relevant codes of conduct, Data protection, IT policies, health & safety, etc.

Required Competencies & Personal Profile
This position requires knowledge of several areas including:

Strong understanding of competency frameworks and their application in aligning job descriptions, skills assessment, and employee development.

Proficiency in utilizing LinkedIn and other online platforms for talent attraction and recruitment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and metrics to refine strategies.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in creating and maintaining comprehensive job descriptions.

Team-oriented approach with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

4+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on supporting areas such as talent acquisition, recruitment strategy development, developing competency frameworks, learning and development, preferably in the finance or professional sectors.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

Experience supporting key change initiatives, preferrable.

HR project management experience is desirable.

Experience in managing diverse stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.

Microsoft 365 Experience (SharePoint, Yammer, Team, Excel, and PowerPoint)

CIPD Certification a plus.
