Key Responsibilities
The Practice Consulting team is responsible for supporting members in practice. Your key responsibility will be to support practitioners through:
- Reaching out to and engaging with our members in practice, providing practical advice and a listening ear to our member on practice related issues and challenges
- assisting firms with compliance, audit and financial reporting;
- Assisting with the writing and development of practice procedures toolkits, helpsheets, and other communications
- Assisting with the delivery of presentations and webinars on technical and practice topics.

We are recruiting a Practice Support Accountant, as a permanent part time role. The role includes advising members on practice issues and challenges, compliance, technical support and service innovation. It is Dublin based and involves a mix of office and home based work. The position will appeal to professionals who want to be empowered to be creative and innovative, enjoy being part of a supportive team in an environment where work/life balance is important, and in an organisation at the centre of the development of the accountancy profession in Ireland.
The Candidate
Required Competencies
- The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced qualified accountant with ten or more years’ experience in a practice or practice support role.
- A level of technical competence and experience in audit are requirements of the role, but the role also involves opportunities to develop your knowledge in relevant areas.
- The role includes identifying opportunities to deliver new products and services, so candidates will be required to demonstrate commercial acumen.

The candidate will also demonstrate the following competencies:
- Have very good verbal and written communication skills;
- Be welcoming of new challenges;
- Be a good team player;
- Have a proven ability to manage a network of relationships;
- Work efficiently, multi-tasking and managing a number of projects simultaneously;
- Have a commercial approach; and
- Excel at bringing projects to completion.
