Philanthropy client seeking a Finance Executive - Full / Part Time - Dub 2 - NFP (Funding Small Business)

Can be done on a part time basis for the right person
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the COO, the Finance Executive will have broad responsibility across all areas within Finance including:
• Preparation and analysis of quarterly management accounts, to include budgeting and account reconciliations
• Preparation of Board presentations in relation to the financial activity of the Company
• Leading the annual external audit process, including preparation of the Annual Report
• Updating of key financial policies and procedures
• Preparation of statutory and regulatory filings
• Identification and implementation of process improvements within the Finance function
• Responsibility for banking relationships
• Leading the expenses process, including staff training in this area
• Performance of pension reconciliations and liaising with pension providers
• Preparing and processing weekly payments, including bank account call backs, document verification and payment tracking
• Working with the Investment team to value our impact investment portfolio
• Handling and recording payments received from our impact investment portfolio
• Leading the filing of the annual VAT compensation scheme return
• Managing relationships with external service providers
• Working with colleagues to upgrade the data systems in Finance for optimal efficiency
• Assisting with ad hoc projects as they arise
Other Duties
• Undertaking necessary training and development.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by line manager /supervisor.
Person specification
The successful applicant will:
• Be excited to work in a dynamic environment, with the ambition and self-drive to ideate and execute initiatives and projects to enhance the Finance function and the overall organisation
• Have an accounting qualification, and the ability to apply accounting standards to financial transactions
• Have great attention to detail and be very task focused. The ability to work independently is essential
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills
• Be able to understand the operationalisation of complex impact investment agreements
• Have a passion for social change and be highly motivated by the company vision, mission and goal
• Have experience working with service providers and contractors delivering operational services to a core team
• Have strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly excel
• Be entitled to work in Ireland
• Possess a willingness to learn and innovate
• Knowledge of Quickbooks, or other accounting packages an advantage
