Speaker Bio's
Karin Lanigan Karin is an Executive Career Coach and mentor with over 25 years experience supporting the career development of finance professionals at all levels. She has spent the last 15 years of her career working specifically with Chartered Accountants and has a deep understanding of the career paths that the qualification offers. She adopts a holistic approach and incorporates a focus on wellbeing and achieving fulfilment both professionally and personally. She has extensive experience supporting female professionals including those returning to work following a career break. She is also passionate about diversity and inclusion and supports many initiatives within Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Elaine Brady - Elaine Brady is the Managing Partner of Barden Leinster. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin, and since graduation has worked nationally and internationally with some of the world's leading recruitment firms. Throughout her career, Elaine has specialised in accounting and tax talent advisory and recruitment and is an expert in senior-qualified accounting careers and the executive search market.
In 2014 Elaine co-founded Barden with Ed Heffernan and since then, it has grown organically into a thriving team of talent advisory & recruitment experts nationwide.
She is an active contributor and regular panelist on topics such as talent advisory, recruitment, retention, and diversity and inclusion. She also advises Boards on how to build world-class leadership teams.
Elaine has successfully completed both the KPMG/Enterprise Ireland Going for Growth and the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women EMEIA programs. She is also a Dublin Chamber Ambassador and was first runner-up in the 2024 PwC Image Business Woman of the Year Award in the Entrepreneurship category.
Ornaith Giblin - Ornaith is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Prior to completing her professional qualifications, she completed a Degree and Masters in Accounting & Finance with DCU. Ornaith completed her training with KPMG in 2006. She moved to the Ardagh Group plc where she worked for 4 years before moving to EY to take up the role of Senior Manager in FAAS. She subsequently returned to the Ardagh Group as Financial Controller and was promoted to Finance Director for their Irish business. She also acted as Company Secretary and Director for their Irish entities.
Ornaith joined Barden in 2022 where she is a Consultant and expert in mid-senior qualified accounting careers focused on recruitment, talent and career advisory. She is an active member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society and acts as Deputy
Treasurer.p>Ornaith decided to move across to recruitment as she believes she has a lot of real-life experience to share with people, to help guide them on their journey, to inform them of their options and help shape their future.
