Receipts Tracker – claim tax credit in real time
Revenue updated Tax and Duty Manual – Part 38-06-06 – Receipts Tracker in myAccount and ROS. The Revenue Receipts Tracker App (RRTA) was deactivated with effect from 30 September 2021. Amendments throughout the manual relate to this. Other updates relate to claiming health and nursing home expenses tax credits in real time from 2021.
The manual has been updated as follows:
- Amendments have been made throughout to reflect the deactivation of the RRTA and to update screenshots.
- Paragraph 5.2 has been updated with information on details that will be required when claiming the health and nursing home expenses tax credit in real time from 2021.
- Paragraph 5.3 has also been updated with additional information on uploading images to the system, as well as information about maximum file size and accepted formats.
The Minister for Finance outlined plans in his Budget Day speech to enhance and formalise the tax arrangements for working from home from 2022 onwards. Revenue’s Budget Summary 2022 details that Revenue’s online system will enable individuals to claim tax relief for remote working in real time throughout the year.
